His music sucks and his opinions suck even more, but here’s why Ed Sheeran should never have dropped his support act, Macklemore, just because the rapper said ”Free Palestine” and dressed up as a hooked-nosed Jew.

Ed Sheeran used to be unapologetically bland, producing the kind of pop both your grandmother and your teenage daughter could bop along to together, but now the international star finds himself facing global condemnation for a political decision at one of his gigs. Earlier this week, one of his support acts, the rapper Macklemore, was removed from Sheeran’s tour, allegedly because of his statements on stage in support of Palestine.
